Ross Johnson, Vice President of Programs

Ross is a proven aerospace executive with extensive background in program management, business development, marketing & sales, strategy, technical support, contracts and aircraft operations. He joined CPI Aerostructures in January 2024.


Prior to joining CPI Aero, Ross served a significant portion of his career at Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. in the customer support organization providing all aspects of technical and logistics support to the worldwide customer base. He was promoted to General Manager Bell Supply Center with full P&L responsibility for its Canadian operation and then to Director, Business Development/Programs with accountability for Bell’s $1B aftermarket. In this role he managed all aspects of global business and strategy development, legacy aircraft program management, proposal development, M&A activity and affiliate business integration. Subsequently, Ross joined Sikorsky Aircraft Inc. and assumed the position of Director, Program Management responsible for aircraft deliveries, customer management, contract execution and leadership of the aircraft build integrated product teams. Ross was further promoted to Director, Business Development for Sikorsky’s $500M commercial helicopter aftermarket.


Ross began his career in the aerospace industry working for various domestic and international operators as a licensed Aircraft and Avionics Maintenance Engineer. Ross holds an MBA from the Haskayne School of Business (University of Calgary). He is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and has received several executive leadership certifications.
